The WildBlue Optimizer is a tool that facilitates the changing of key settings on your computer  Internet Explorer, and Firefox browser configurations, in order to “optimize” the web surfing experience of the WildBlue Service.  Additionally, the optimizer will make key short cuts for the WildBlue service available on your desktop and by configuring your home page setting and making favorites available in Internet Explorer.  The WB Optimizer is usually installed during the installation and provisioning process by the installer.  If it wasn’t downloaded or installed during your installation, it can be downloaded by following the step by steps.

Step By Steps

Please note:  You may not download or install this optimizer unless you are a current WildBlue subscriber.
Download and run either the .exe or .zip version below:

·         For Windows wildblue.exe 311 kb

·        For Windows wildblue.zip 288 kb – Please note you need a zip utility to extract the files

The WildBlue "Optimizer" does the following tasks to Optimize the performance of your computer using the WildBlue network. These optimizations are specific to Internet Explorer and Firefox.

            B. Enables http 1.1.

            C. Enables http 1.1 through proxies.

            D. Sets the Internet Explorer Local Area (LAN) Settings to "Use automatically detect settings".

 3. For Mozilla Firefox it sets defaults in the Firefox install directory and the current user's Firefox profile directory to optimize performance:

            A. Max connections per server to 10.

            B. Max persistent connections per server to 4.

            C. Pipelining to true.

            D. Proxy pipelining to true.
