Mount the dish to an approved structure at least five feet off the ground as required by FCC regulations, using industry standard roof, and/or wall mounting brackets.

Mount to a one-story surface.
 
Complex/custom installations that may result in additional fees.
  • Make sure you discuss any custom work with your installer before they begin the job.
Install a coaxial cable jack in the room where the WildBlue System will be located. Custom work including, but not limited to:
  • Moldings or cosmetic hardware to help hide cables
  • Non-penetrating roof, pole, or chimney mounts
Route two exterior RG-6 coaxial cables (each up to 100 feet in length) from the dish into the house, and to the coaxial cable jack. Installation of Satellite TV receivers and cables and/or complex connections to stereo/audio components.
Provide and install the hardware required to properly ground your WildBlue System. Removal and/or repair of previously mounted equipment (a signed Waiver of Liability must be included to perform this work).
Install the WildBlue modem and connect them to your PC. Mounting to a roof surface that exceeds one story in height
Verify receipt of satellite signal.
Commission your WildBlue account.
Non-penetrating roof mount, pole mount, or chimney mount.

 

Standard Installations Include:
  • The satellite system equipment
  • Mounting and grounding the antenna on a surface of the customer's home accessible with 1 25-foot ladder
  • Dish (antenna) side or 1st story roof mounting
  • Running exterior RG-6 cable to an exterior/interior wall entry point
  • Interior faceplate, RG-6/USB cable to connect your system

 

The Standard WildBlue Installation does not include the following and additional charges may apply.
• Travel to and from customer location over 50 miles of installer office is billed to the customer on a per-mile basis.
• Installation of WildBlue antenna at a location on the customer structure 21 feet or higher above the ground and not accessible from a 25-foot ladder
• Extra approved WildBlue RG-6 or RG-11 cabling over the maximum of 150 feet.
• Drilling through more than one exterior wall and/or more than one interior wall or floor
• Any materials used to hide exposed cabling
• Non-penetrating roof mounts and chimney mounts
• Non-standard roof or wall mounts
• Installation of pole and conduit for pole mount installation (pole must be long enough to place the dish 5-feet above the ground)
• Providing and installing the Grounding rod and #6 Bond wire when the Grounding Block is over 20 feet from the approved building ground. (see Properly Ground/Bonded Antenna in section 1.1)
• Removal and/or repair of previously mounted equipment with a Waiver of Liability signed off by customer (this is never done without the Waiver of Liability)
• Customer requested installation of complex cabling, including excess cabling requirements, wall fishes, or Ethernet networking: to include wired and wireless configurations.
• Installation and/or configuration of a Local Area Network that supports multiple computers or connections, wired or wireless

Additional installation charges may be applicable and must be determined and agreed upon between customer and premise installer prior to beginning work.
